MCS 2015
The 16th International Symposium on Multispectral Color Science (MCS 2015) will be organized as part of AIC 2015. Submissions will be handled through AIC 2015 electronic submission system and the conference proceedings with final versions of the accepted papers will be published in Proceeding of AIC 2015.
Scope
Many aspects of multi- and hyper- spectral image acquisition, analysis, and rendering have been extensively researched recently due to the technological advances in hardware devices, software systems, and signal processing algorithms. Moreover, there are numerous applications, such as quality control, agriculture, medicine, cosmetics, fine art and craft, printing, display, robotics, and remote sensing, in which spectral imaging technology is more and more exploited. As a consequence, a variety of problems encountered in our everyday lives have been reformulated, successfully solved, and sometimes cast into their new contexts rising new scientific challenges.
This symposium is intended to review the current state of the art, and address major challenges and future directions in spectral color science and imaging. Scientists and engineers from all over the world are invited to exchange their knowledge, technologies, and ideas on various hot and new topics. In MCS 2015 topics of interest in the field of spectral color, imaging, and light include as follows:

Special Issue of MCS 2015:
Authors of the accepted papers to MCS 2015 will be invited to submit the extended article versions (full papers) to a special issue in Journal of Imaging Science & Technology (JIST).
History of MCS
The 16th International Symposium on Multispectral Color Science (MCS 2015) builds on the tradition since 1999 to bring together researchers in the field of spectral color science and imaging. The first MCS symposium was launched at Chiba University, Japan in 1999 as The International Symposium on Multispectral Imaging and Color Reproduction for Digital Archives by the initiative of Professor Yoichi Miyake. Since 2001 the multispectral symposium has been organized by an informal consortium of researchers, mostly incorporated into larger international conferences as follows:
